Ostiarius

She’s not what I thought she’d be. If I ever was to find her, I had always expected some spiteful old hag, her appearance reflecting the rotten soul lurking on the inside.

Something that would be fitting for a demon like me.

But that is not my little flower. My Ellery. She’s young, even for a human. Smooth, pale skin with eyes as dark as damp soil and hair a shade darker than that. She’s absolutely breathtaking.

Each Shadow Guardian is given one soul to bind to. To keep for all time.

After all the time that’s passed I thought my soul had been forfeit. I’ve been in the earth realm for over a thousand turns around the sun and have never once been observable to a living soul. Until Ellery.

We Shadow Guardians are a distant memory to the earth realm. Before the Great Bleed we were charged with guarding the barriers between the worlds of the earthlings and the supernaturals.

But now that the barrier is destroyed, the Shadow Guardians no longer have a purpose.

When the Bleed began I was in the earth realm. I have yet to find a way to return to the supernatural realm, even with the barrier no longer in place.

In this realm I don’t have the luxury of a corporeal body for any meaningful period of time. At most I can keep a solid shape for a day cycle. And that’s only when I’ve rationed my power for many day cycles.

Seeing Ellery today helped me stay in my physical form longer though. I have no grand illusions that she’s my savior and will lead me to salvation from this monotonous existence. But she does call to me.

My length grew hard just at the sight of her. Those fuckable lips. The curve of her hips. The voice that reminds me of an old willow tree lamenting a lost love, dark and heavy with emotion.

Holding her, rubbing against her clit—it was too much for me to concentrate on and still stay corporeal at the same time. I turned back into my shadows nearly the instant our lips touched.

She called frantically for me. So badly I wanted to go back to her but I didn’t even have the power to be in shadow form. I was simply nothing for a short time.

And then she laid by the flowers, fucking herself. That provided the energy flow I needed to wrap her in my haze, filling her with my essence and causing her to come.

The sounds she made were the most beautiful I’ve ever heard and I will not forget them. But they cost me dearly. At the weakened state I already put myself in, my power was completely drained.

I won’t be able to hold any form at all, let alone my corporeal one, for many, many day cycles.

But that will not stop me from seeing her. I need this human. This soul that is destined for me.
